My Story

  • Before Perimenopause

    From age 31 - I took up running, cycling and swimming. I embarked on Ironman 70.3 training and did some form of training 6 days a week - sometimes twice a day. I was happy, fit, and a healthy weight.

    When perimenopause hit, I was exercising daily as an endurance athlete. But instead of staying lean, I gained weight. My clothes didn’t fit, I felt tired and frustrated, and nothing I used to do worked anymore. Sound familiar?
